Since I had issues upgrading to 10.0.1 few weeks ago of Parallels Plesk Control Panel software and this process have messed things up causing me to repair those screw up. I even tried to repair Windows 2008 but there was no repair option and it did a new install instead. That made me wanting to recover from the backup that was made few hours before this happened.
While Parallels technicians and I was doing an investigation with these issues, they have taught me a faster way to recover is to take a snapshot in Hyper V because this server was running under that and to use it. I listened and this has caused the server to be very slow after we found a way to upgrade to 10.0.1. Today I have realized that I need to delete the snapshots that were taken after studying more things about snapshot feature. I have deleted them and had to shut down the virtual machine to complete the merge progress. It has taken over four hours and the server is loading fast again.
These progresses were required prior upgrading the host machine to Windows 2008 R2 anyway and this process will be done in the next few weeks. I will still let you know by announcing a scheduled maintenance announcement.
