Parallels Plesk Panel was just upgraded to 10.2.0!

This Parallels Plesk Panel update includes the following changes.

Parallels Plesk Panel 10.2.0

[+] IPv6 support.  Parallels Plesk Panel now supports operations on IPv6 addresses (DNS, web hosting, mail, FTP and all other services). Administrators and resellers can offer service plans on IPv4, IPv6, or dual-stack subscriptions (one IPv4 + one IPv6 address).

The limitations of this new feature are as follows:
O Anonymous FTP access is not supported for hosting on IPv6.
O Panel must have at least one IPv4 address to interact with external services like the updates and license renewal servers.
O The feature is supported in PVC 4.6 and later versions.
O This feature is not compatible with Microsoft Windows 2003 and requires Microsoft Windows 2008 or later.
O IPv6 is supported in Microsoft FTP Server 7 (or higher). Other supported FTP servers operate only on IPv4.
O IPv6 is supported in MailEnable 5.10. Other supported mail servers operate only on IPv4.

[+] My webspaces in Server Administration Panel.  Now it is easier for administrators to create own hosting accounts - so-called webspaces - with the Panels that also serve hosting customers and resellers. Panel lets administrators to run webspaces in Power User mode whereas operations over service plans and subscriptions remain in Server Administration Panel. Learn more about this mode in Administrator's Guide, section Switching to My Webspaces.

[+] Power User mode before initialization. Panel is capable of switching to Power User mode instantly after deployment whereas previously the mode choice was available only after the Panel initialization. This helps providers offer Power User mode directly with no input from customers. Read more in Deployment Guide, section Consider Switching to Power User Mode.

[+] Customer account without subscription.  One of the typical cases is when a customer account is created to transfer subscriptions from other accounts. Now you can skip the time-consuming step of creating subscriptions for such accounts and instantly start transferring from other accounts. Learn more in Administrator's Guide, section Subscribing to Hosting Services.

[+] Support for Windows Web Server 2008 R2 SP1

[+] Single SSL certificate for all sites in a subscription. This feature allows customers to secure the default site and additional sites included into a subscription by a single certificate.

[+] Get events by class and type through API RPC.  The new API RPC protocol version supports fetching events by class and type. For more details, see the respective request packet structure.

[+] New Panel branding themes. Administrators can change the look and feel of Panel by downloading and installing branding themes (former skins). The themes are available at http://www.parallels.../plesk/themes/.

[+] Support for new mail server software versions. The following versions of mail server software are now supported:

O MailEnable 5.10
O IceWarp Mail Server 10.2.2

[+] Migration of SSL certificates.  Now Plesk Migration Manager (PMM) correctly migrates SSL certificates.

[*] We improved readability of backup, restoration and migration reports. For easier troubleshooting, such reports are now output in human-readable format.

[*] On completion of the password retrieval procedure, Parallels Plesk Panel notifies about sending of password by e-mail.

[*] Loading of the page that lists IP addresses is much faster now in case of several hundreds of IP addresses in the list.

[*] To facilitate the process of customizing Panel appearance with custom skins, the custom.css style sheet was added to all pages of Server Administration Panel.

[*] The disk security rules applied by Panel (stored in the %plesk_dir%\etc\DiskSecurity\DiskSecurity.xml file) were adjusted for the folder "Program Files\IIS" to allow installation of IIS extensions.

[*] The pre9-backup-convert utility now can automatically repair invalid XML files: Fixes redundant tags (like <server>, <sa_confs> and <sa_conf>) and empty values in parameters (say, empty "enabled" attribute in <mailuser><properties><redirect> tag) in Plesk 8 backup dump.

[*] The "Domains" limit for resellers now defines the total of sites a reseller and their customers can own (previously, it applied only to sites of customers).

[*] The init_conf utility now supports the parameter –license_agreed to show or hide EULA (license agreement) during the initial configuration. Learn more about this utility in Command Line Reference(for Microsoft Windows or for Linux).

[-] Issue resolved: If the physical hosting was set both for a domain name and its www. subdomain (say, example.com and www.example.com), Panel calculated statistics only for the www. subdomain.

[-] Issue resolved: Administrator was not able to apply any changes to subscriptions in case the backup process was started.

[-] Issue resolved: The lanmanworkstation service did not start after Panel was installed from Virtuozzo template.

[-] Issue resolved: Administrator failed to reach the page Settings > Manage Firewall Rules if the rules list contained a multi-port firewall rule (the "Port" field was set to "*", range: "80-90", or sequence: "10,20,30").

[-] Issue resolved: Administrator failed to reach the page Settings > Manage Firewall Rules if the Panel server was added into a domain and the server had two network interfaces for different networks.

Further removal failed with the error message "Some of the selected subscriptions were not removed".

[-] Issue resolved: Users failed to add TXT DNS resource records with underscore symbols.

[-] Issue resolved: Customers could not change DomainKeys spam protection settings if SpamAssassin was not installed on the server.

[-] Issue resolved: Administrator could not load Windows in safe mode if the "Plesk Management Service" (plesksrv) and "PopPassD" service were configured to start in automatic mode.

[-] Issue resolved: Parallels Installer installed BIND DNS server even if MS DNS server was already installed.

[-] Issue resolved: Panel failed to detect that a mail server was already installed.

[-] Issue resolved: Customers failed to add new ODBC connections to Microsoft Access Driver (.mdb file) and encountered the error "Unable to connect to the data source using the defined settings. Server has returned the following error: ODBCError HY000: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not a valid file name."

[-] Issue resolved: When Panel users attempted to retrieve a forgotten password and provided incorrect username or e-mail address, they encountered the error "PleskPermissionDeniedException Permission denied.".

[-] Issue resolved: When Merak mail server with enabled passwords policy was used, the following error occurred on attempt to create a mailbox with a weak password: "Unable to update the mail account properties: mailmng failed: MerakCOM.AccountObject.Save failed for name=mailbox and domain.com [domain.com]".

[-] Issue resolved: Because of wrong permissions set for cgi-bin directories in virtual hosts, customers failed to browse CGI scripts and encountered the error "HTTP Error 500.19 – Internal Server Error".

[-] Issue resolved: Windows Firewall was always marked as disabled in the Components list, regardless of its actual state.

[-] Issue resolved: When a customer changed domain forwarding settings, Panel reported about successful change of settings, but the changes were not actually saved.

[-] Issue resolved: After renaming a domain name of an additional website, users could no longer access Tomcat Java applications installed on that site and encountered the error "Error 404 – Not Found".

[+] Refined online stores A new look and feel of online stores makes it easier and faster to place orders. The store settings page is also refined: The most important options are displayed directly, while the rest are grouped into tabs. [+] IPv6 and dual-stack hosting support Now you can offer Plesk Panel hosting plans with IPv6 addresses or dual stack (both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses). This new ability brought the following changes to the Configuration Wizard, hosting plan properties, and panel settings (in server groups):
Configuration wizard lets you set ranges of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to allocate them with hosting plans.
In hosting plan properties, you can specify if a plan uses IPv4, IPv6, or dual stack and choose to offer the plan with shared or dedicated addresses.
At the panel settings page, you are able to set shared addresses to be used by a Plesk Panel server.

[+] Schet-facturas support The system is now capable of creating schet-facturas - documents that are required by accounting policies of some countries (such as Russia). [+] Ogone  payment gateway is now supported.

[+] Nordea payment gateway is now supported.

[+] OpenProvider domain name registrar is now supported.

[+] Taxation configuration improvement: EU countries wildcard. Now you can have a single tax zone for all EU countries by using the EU wildcard instead of manually adding a tax zone per country. [+] Business Manager is available in PVC template for Windows.

[*] Order eNom SSL certificates from Control Panel. Customers are able to complete the certificates ordering process right from Plesk Control Panel. All the data required by a registrar from customers is queried through To-Do items, so there is no necessity for customers to switch to a legacy panel to provide certificate-related details.

[*] Improvements to bank transfers. This release introduces a number of improvements to bank transfers management:
O  Bank transfer settings now reside on the configuration page of payments queue.
O The status of manual payments is correctly displayed.
O The invoice reversal page is adjusted to work with bank transfers.
O New ability to create bank accounts by customers and administrators.
O New ability to manually pay invoices from bank accounts.

[*] Improvement: The page for adding new TLDs now suggests a list of top-level domains supported by selected registrar.

[-] Issue resolved: Customers failed to pay through Control Panel an invoice via third-party gateway (like PayPal) and encountered the error "Payment Error: Order form #1 'Français #1' has not primary and Bank Transfer payment gateway assigned" when no primary or bank transfer gateway was attached to the online store.

[-] Issue resolved: Because of improper database clean-up after service plan removal, administrator failed to sync with Panel (Server groups > PleskUnix > Sync All) and encountered the error "Error Message : 'Invalid attribute name: Product::$product_addon_group_id'".

[-] Issue resolved: Because of wrong permissions for the default log file, administrator failed to upload a new logo for PDF invoices using "PDF Invoice Customization” menu and encountered the error "Error Message: 'failed copy file: 'Constant ALLOW_DEBUG_LOGGING already defined'".

SiteBuilder 5.2

[+] Page URL modification (page slugs). SiteBuilder generates SEO-friendly website page URLs for all pages and allows users to modify these URLs.

[+] Links to own website pages. Users can quickly and conveniently create links to different pages of their own website.

[+] Embedded video module. SiteBuilder adds the Embedded Video module and supports usage of video URLs instead of embedded code for popular services like YouTube.

[+] Images as backgrounds. Users can upload their own images as a background of any part of their website.

[+] Transparent backgrounds. It is now possible to make the background of any website part completely transparent.

[+] Social Sharing module. Users can add Social Sharing module to their website, so that website visitors can share pages they like on social services like Facebook, Twitter and so on.

[+] Website snapshots. Every single action in SiteBuilder is immediately applied and saved, so if users are afraid of losing some data when removing modules or experimenting with website design, they can save current website state as a snapshot and revert to it at any time later.

[*] SiteBuilder over HTTP SiteBuilder operates over HTTP and occupies the 8880 port rather than the HTTPS port as before. It does not undermine security (since no sensitive data is passed to the application), but increases the convenience of using SiteBuilder in conjunction with the "Social Sharing" module.

[-] Issue resolved: After upgrading Parallels Plesk Panel to the version 10.1, websites could not be opened in SiteBuilder.
